1967 poster “Make Love Not War” (Weisser, Tarot Press) was based on a slogan that Diane Newell Meyer, a student at the University of Oregon, pinned to her sweater at an anti-war demonstration in 1965. “Decades of Dissent,” a new exhibition organized by the Center for the Study of Political Graphics at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, showcases protest posters from the 1960s and ’70s.
